Blah to watching the Olympics.
I think I still like the Olympics themselves. But American coverage sucks anymore. It's all so parochial - if they can avoid showing the other countries, as in gymnastics, they do. Or, it's 95% the Americans and one or two others. There's no sense of context, of internationality. I think NBC is just stupid.
My life has extremely little TV and radio in it, and much less internet than in recent years. I feel like much of those things gave a false sense of community. I'm mostly down to facebook and LJ and some news sites. Then I go do something else.
If I didn't have to go to work, I'd really be a recluse.
