It is quite emphatically still February. The temperature is below freezing with a fierce wind that's blowing powdery snow around. Definitely a day to take the car that has the heat still working!
The sunshine is cheerful, though.
The old minivan is a natural climate car now, I guess. You get your choice - windows open, or windows closed. We bought it new, when I was pregnant with my third and youngest, and he's fourteen now. I can't bring myself to spend the time or money to get the heating core replaced (for about the fourth time!), let alone the AC, when I have a handy alternative in the used Honda we picked up for a deal.
That old van was great on road trips with the three kids, though. The girls took the back seat, with their stuff between them, including a CD player hooked up to the power cord snaking all the way back from the cigarette lighter. D had the middle seat, with his Playstation and a portable DVD player, also hooked up to the lighter. Wires splitting off everywhere, and Thank Goodness for electronic entertainment!
I got more private conversation with my husband on those trips. :)
Anyway, I just ache for Spring this time of year.
I wonder if the tips of the crocus leaves have emerged yet? I'll bet it's not too early to look!
