Well, it's a struggle because like many Scots the debate is going strong and so many people who wouldn't give a flying one about politics are taking notice and getting involved. Personally I've found the "fear factor" insulting and the "ooooh noooo why do we need to change things" mentality bothersome and the myth still persists in the minds of some that the English bail out their northern neighbours. For the first time many have woken up and looked at the glorious union of unequals that they were born into and realised how London-centric it is and how we should all be gratefully for that. I will be bitterly disappointed with my countrymen and women if the vote goes to the Naws. We will all pay for it if the decision is NO, of that I am certain. Millibland, Cameron and Clegg sneaking up there and afraid to stand on the same platform, all promising more powers they can't agree on and haven't the power to enact. Remember Thatcher's outright opposition to Devolution?
Anyway... in other news, my mum's out of hospital and it seems her hand op has gone okay, though it'll be painful for quite some time.
I actually managed to train last night and it felt really good.
Oh and my department finally received a reward for getting to the finals of the department of the year. I'll use it as a paperweight and spend the £25 card that came with it.
