there's this thing called 'national student exchange' that has a network of schools across the nation that participate in a student exchange program. you pay either your own schools tuition or you pay the other schools tuition for in state residents. You can do it for up to a year, though the sessions don't have to be consecutive. You can live on or off campus, however if you live on campus food and housing is included in the whole package fee.

northeastern illinois university, located ten miles northwest of downtown chicago in chicago, illinois participates in this program. so does USF.

now i just have to decide. stay here and get an apartment with nate and gabby for the next year, or talk to my academic advisor on monday at my appointment about this program. the only requirements are a 2.5 GPA and letters of recommendation from the academic advisor, a faculty/staff member, and a personal one (preferrably from a parent)

the credits you earn there go towards your home school and when transferring to another school it just looks like you earned them all in one place.

this is pretty much my chance to 'try out' chicago without screwing myself over. if i do this and don't like it, i can come home and finish school here, easy. if i transfer and don't like it, i've pretty much fucked up a lot of shit.
