Last week a friend of mine asked me what my "type" is. I've been thinking...
My type tends to be:
artistic/creative
intellectual
without ambition/direction
What do I desire?
someone who fights for what they believe in
someone who has a passionate personality
someone who aims to grow
someone who enjoys athletics in some facet
someone who believes in strong communication
someone with a positive self-image
someone who is spontaneous
someone with a mind of their own
someone who appreciates cheesiness/corniness
someone who is musically inclined
What do I require? lol
someone who wants children and cats
someone who appreciates the beauty that this world has to offer
someone who understands that lovers can lead independent yet intertwined lives
someone who is open and honest
someone who believes in equality between partners
someone who is faithful
someone who is open-minded
a person with whom I have a strong emotional connection
No longer will I :
allow myself to be bullied or intimidated by my lover
allow myself to be in a physically or verbally abusive relationship
allow myself to be in an unhealthy relationship, particularly with an alcoholic
try to "fix" my partner or allow myself to be co-dependent on them.
No excuses anymore. I've learned my lessons. I respect myself, my family, and my future too much. I will no longer be a victim. I will not repeat my mistakes; I have learned from them.
I look so forward to the future.
