April! Woohoo!

F**k, there goes yet another month! >.<

At least it has just started, rather than being over already. Yet, we have the 8th today, soo ...

Oh well, what has been going on?

First of all, as mentioned, the 4th birthday of our not-so-little-anymore 'folf'. He didn't have as many guests as expected due to yet another snot plague in kindergarten, but at least we didn't have to plan much, like games, as he - I hate my childhood - got one hell of an awesome trampoline!

Take that and additionally a barrel trailer for the pedal tractor and you have all the kids too busy for even birthday cake for about two hours =^.^=

Over the birthday weekend, kuschelgarou's parents were visiting us and afterwards, her dad stayed for another week, so we could continue working on the house - or rather the parts of it which are still more barn and stables.

First of all, 'downstairs', we finally have a real side entrance with actual door.
We got this heavy bastard from a bank when they were renovating, so it's supposed to be burglar-proof ... I hope.

Back down in the former milk chamber where the compressor found it's home, we've been casting a concrete base for the rainwater tank ...

... as I really want it no longer standing outdoors against the wall and becoming green with moss over the years.

Behind the house, I've been cleaning up a little more and my dad took down the first of the two birch trees. As nice as they looked, Kuschel is highly allergic and they are practically standing right in front of the bedroom window.

And what was left of the pile of rubble on that corner next to the future lamp post is now in the hole in in front of where our actual front door will be.

The other hole will remain as such and just gets a robust lid, so we casted a ring armature to rise the original edge to the level of the (future) cobble.

Both were once chutes for getting mangold down into the storeroom of the stables which is now our boiler room. So through the remaining one, we can - if neccessary - easily fill the silo of the pellet heater. =^.^=

Since things are slowly yet steadily nearing the final state, the barn is still a bit of a mess with all kinds of building materials, but it's becoming less!

Anyone wanna have an old malt mill?

... oh yeah, and kuschelgarou now also has got more power!

Next steps: Getting the sound and light equipment ready for Mephit Mini Con.

Holy sh*t, it's only three weeks left! >.<
