201: Second Chances ~ Osaki-Hime
(Sigh) I knew I missed yesterdays post as I had some major things to do. However, I didn't realize I had forgotten to post an entry the day before when I posted the stats. Oh well. Anyways... I guess I'll just go ahead and post one to two extra.
Title: Second Chances
Name: Mai Katsumoto “Emiko Kurugai” (pronounced Cat-soo-mo-to and the second name is the name she gives Ichigo), Hitsugaya Toshiro. Tatsuya (name of her zampaktou)

Appearance: “I have pale skin, butt length ink black hair usually tied up, bright blue eyes, and very skinny and very tall.” Also, “ I got changed into a dark purple dress and belted boots.”
Background: Seven years previous she is sent out with thirty-one people to “Kakura town”. (I did the math, it is actually thirty people.) She tells Renji she is going later that day. Two days later she has her list ready. Renji then goes and accuses Mai of cheating on him with her zampaktuo. (For those who don't know, zampaktuo are a part of the shinigami's soul.) Apparently “my kissing him is payment for his services”. They get in trouble for drawing their blades against each other. One week later she meets Kurosaki Ichigo. She eats ramen and says “I need to go, no telling what my onii-chan will do to me.” She's got feelings for Ichigo now. There is no point to why she is in town with as many people and she's randomly going around doing nothing that pertains to shinigami duties.
Sue Qualifications: She's the “second fukutaicho of the tenth division”. I am not sure if she means that Mai is third seat of if she means that she shares the rank with Matsumoto. She's also engaged to Abarai Renji despite the fact Renji has been focused up until Ichigo and company invaded Soul Society on Rukia. She refers to Hitsugaya Taicho as “Hitsugaya-kun” in front of other officers and Toshiro refers to her as “Mai-chan”. She is such a high ranking officer and yet she is subservient to her zampaktuo.
Annoying Attributes: The Suethor has a pronunciation key that includes names of characters we already no. Renji Abarai and the last names Hitsugaya and Matsumoto. She also mistranslates the meanings of zampaktuo and shinigami as “soul slayer” and “death god”. While these meanings can be used, “soul-cutter sword” and “soul reaper” are more in context with the content of Bleach. She writes Renji's name in proper Japanese order but I am under the impression her OC's name is in proper English order. They are unable to spell out numbers either. This is painful as we have tons of numbers used in the first chapter.

I was late, very late. My division meeting was scheduled to start at 5:00 but it was 5:15.
"GOMEN TAICHOU." I ran in to the door as said that.
"Mai, you're late again." Hitsugaya scolded. I was always late for division meetings; no matter what I seem to do I sleep in till four, take a shower and always wind up being late. (I'm a night owl)
"Matsumoto-Fukutaichou, please inform Mai of what we were just discussing."
"Sure thing Hitsugaya-Kun!" After the debriefing I sat down and started listening to Hitsugaya-Taichou intently.
"Recently there have been several accounts of hollow attacks on the world of the living. Yamamoto-Taichou has given us the responsibility of sending some of our squad to clean up the problem."
"Hai!" All squad 10 members replied.
"Mai-Chan," Hitsugaya started
"Yes Taichou?" I said.
"I want you to take 4 able-bodied shinigami to the10th district of Kakura town. Matsumoto-Fukutaichou, you are to take 10 squad members to the 14th and 15th districts, Loki Narako, take 5 members to the 12th district and Garyuu Kyouya take 10 members to the 11th and 13th districts."
