Someone elsenet mentioned the artificial smoke possibility too. I admit, I hadn't thought of it till the two of you mentioned it. OTOH, I'm pretty sensitive to those sorts of scents myself (not allergic or asthmatic, but I pick them up pretty easily), and I didn't detect anything. I also wondered if they're using e-cigs now - correct look & 'smoke' without carrying a scent & allergen trigger the audience will pick up.

The gluten warning was more a snarky "Portland" comment than anything, given how we are about food & allergen sensitivities. (Though I have known a couple of people who were so sensitive, they couldn't kiss their partners if the partner had recently eaten something with gluten and hadn't brushed hir teeth between eating and kissing.)

The gunshot warning, I totally got and thought was appropriate.

The lack of violence warning - it's opera. They staged "Tosca" last year & did a... graphic job of showing her kissing the blood-dripping, bodiless head. Violence warning? The write-ups in the program and on the company's website do a decent job of including it in the summary/synopsis.

It just seems like, if you're going to start giving trigger warnings, you might as well go for it and give all the warnings. It was an interesting list, given what I would expect to be triggers.
