I had a date on sunday!! wooo hhooooo... i love going on dates, they're so much fun.

I met this dude at work last thursday. He came from SF to help us out with some kitchen stuff. He's the head executive kitchen chef in SF. I only worked with him that one thursday and we really hit off. It was cute too. I was at the front desk doing some exciting lamination for Zito and he was there talking something important to some dude on his cell. So when he hung up he whispers, "when you get a chance, come see at the line."

p.s. the line in restaurant langauge means the kitchen line where all the food initally comes out.

So i went to the office to drop some stuff off to Zito and go over to him. So i go up to him and, i said, "Am i in trouble?" with a big ole smile on my face. He was all, "oh no, that defintely you are not." So then hands me a post-it folded up and i open it and it says, "please call me: with his phone number" And i look at him and smiled. And he's all, "sound good? why dont you give me a call sometime.".... And that's how we embarked on this wonderful date situation on sunday.

We went to the 5th Amendment. This small locals jazz bar in oakland. I highly, highly recommend it to anyone thats into jazz and in the oakland area. We talked the ENTIRE TIME. ENTIRE TIME. I havent been on a date like that, in a very long time and it felt good to know there are still great guys out there. There was never a moment of akward silence or a moment where we had nothing to talk about. You know when your on a sucky ass date and your just thinking about all the shit you have to get done, and what you COULDA been doing if you WERENT on that date?? It was just really nice to finally go out with someone that actually had interesting conversation and actually listened when i talked as well. I really hope we work out and go out again. I dont think ive been on such a good as this one in over 3 years. i feel good about him and hopefully he feels the same. But we shall see how everything unravels.
good date, good date.
