Has anyone ever noticed that little stamp on your paper currency that says "wheresgeorge.com"? If your not familiar with the site, what happens is that you enter your marked bill into the system's data base and assuming everyone else (or at least a few) have done the same, you can track where that particular bill has been (city, state) as well as the dates and condition of the bill.
Well D came home from work today COMPELLED to go to the website and trace the history of his $1 bill he got as change from the Post Office. We learned that it had been in PA before it made it's way here to NY. He was amused by this.
I, on the other hand, was a little creeped out. Something about the title "The United States Currency Tracking Project" sounds a bit like big brother watching. Or maybe I'm just paranoid, though as the late Kurt Cobain once said, "Just because your paranoid, doesn't mean that their not after you". Does anyone smell conspiracy?
