I leave for tour tomorrow and I am NOT ready. We were supposed to have our third band practice, but due to time constraints,that didn't happen. We played the show together anyway and it was ROUGH. They also didn't have their cheat sheets because they were left upstairs, I wish we had gone to get them. Hopefully we'll be tighter after we practice tomorrow prior to leaving for Spokane. I'm also working a half day, need to send out 10 or so packages of CDs to bands for the Mother's Day compilation I am releasing/take them to the post office, almost half of them are going international. It'll be up for free download as soon as I come back from tour. I also need to pack a bag for the tour. Tonight at our kick off show, we made $12 to help get to Spokane. Brutal.
Lately I've been pushing really hard for summer tour, but I found out there's a good chance that Rebecca won't be able to go for the whole thing. We might know by the time Jason, Brandon, Trelayna and I get to socal, but maybe not. I'd be super super sad if Rebecca couldn't come for the whole thing, it is going to be an epic trip and it would mean a lot to have her there. Though, the reason would be so she can be the program director at the radio station (KCSB), which is completely understandable. It's a student position and it's not going to be around forever. I'd be completely selfish to not understand that there is a very short time frame this can happen in. Also, Josh, I love you. I just want you both to be there. Not to mention I thought there was a WCP drummer, but he only played one show with them or something. I was under the impression they were tight for some reason and that he was going to come on the tour, but that is not happening.
So many things kinda happening all at once. I need to settle down, get some sleep, and not worry about the summer yet. This trip is 10 days and I'm sure it's going to go by really quickly. Oh yeah, also, our Flagstaff show fell through. I have no idea how I booked 75% of this tour and of the 3 shows I didn't book, only 2 of them are happening. Trying to pick up the pieces for Flagstaff, but it might be too soon. I at least want to see the Grand Canyon if we don't have a show in Flagstaff. Maybe we can busk there??
