Many things to dicuss. I'll hit 'em in order of importance, starting with the most important:
So I've heard from my friend who's in the school system and what he had to say made a lot of sense. Rather than jumping in full-bore and trying to become a teacher, he suggests starting as a substitute. This makes a lot of sense to me, and I'd thought of it a bit myself. That way I can get a feel for teaching, see if it's something I WANT to do. I can quit anytime I want, I can look for more permanent jobs in the meantime... it makes sense. I think this may well be the route I'll take for a while.
Next, my 512MB memory card actually came in this morning -- Dell estimated 3 to 5 business days. I ordered it Monday night and got it Wednesday morning. If I had known it'd come in THAT quick, I never would have tried Circuit City in the first place. I installed the card (boosting my RAM to 640 thanks to the 128 card already installed) and gave City of Heroes a test drive. It was GREAT. The zoning was fast, I didn't get stuck in lags... heck, I'm even hearing sound effects I didn't even know the game had! I'm a happy, happy Panda. :)
And finally, there's a brand-spaking new Everything But Imaginary online at
Comixtreme. Much as I'm loving Infinite Crisis, you can't talk about it 24/7. Or even every column in a row. So this week I'm talking about some comics that not only have nothing to do with Infinite Crisis, I'm talking about comics that are just plain fun: Johnny Raygun Quarterly, PS 238 and the upcoming arc in Walt Disney's Comics and Stories featuring the return of the Three Caballeros! Now THAT should be a blast! Check out the column here:
