To help those readers who (unlike myself) don't have a near-encyclopedic knowledge of the DC Universe, Craig Reade prompted me to put together this special feature, Deconstructing Infinite Crisis. This is a page-by-page accounting of the major players, the roles of lesser-known characters, and how the events of the last several years of DC Comics have led up to this point. As such, this piece is FULL of spoilers, so if you haven't read Infinite Crisis #1 yet, DO NOT READ THIS.
