INFINITE CRISIS #1 REVIEW

Oct 13, 2005 11:31

Well.

That blew me away. Last page was poster-worthy.

Here's my review: Infinite Crisis #1 Review at Comixtreme.com

And for those of you who have read it, here's some more spoiler-ful thoughts:

How about that last page, huh? Superman and Lois Lane of Earth-2, Superboy Prime and Alex Luthor of Earth-3 -- the survivors of the original Crisis on Infinite Earths. In the end, they all went "elsewhere." Well apparently, they've been watching ever since then. They've been watching and they don't like what they've seen. A League destroyed, a trinity that can't even speak to each other, a Superboy scared into inaction, a Society of Villains tearing through true heroes like flypaper, an army of OMACs ready to wreak havok on all superhumans...

So what's going to happen?

I'm not sure exactly, but in the end, the result will be this:

Kal-L, the original Superman, will be forced to remind the rest of the DC Universe what is really means to be a hero. And he'll die in the process. He won't be the first casualty of the Crisis -- there have already been too many. Starting with Sue Dibney, how many have died?

Firestorm (Ronnie Raymond)
Jack Drake
Blue Beetle
Rocket Red 7
Hawkwoman
Shazam
Uncle Sam
Black Condor
The Ray
Phantom Lady
The Human Bomb

And more than a few villains as well:

Captain Boomerang
Fiddler
Cheshire
Parademon (and whoever was caught in the explosion that killed him)
Ratcatcher

More to come.

Many, many more to come.

But in the end, it'll be Kal-L who shows them the way to salvation.
