omg. OMG yes. So Chevelle posted this link to a behind the scenes video of Pete working on the next album. It starts with him doing these riffs which sound totally Chevelle and awesome. Then there's this Spinal Tap moment where some guy says jokingly, "Hay Pete. Wanna sing '---- in a Jar'?" and the camera pans to Pete, who sighs wearily, pinches the bridge of his nose and says, "You know, I told you anything but that song. Wait till the end. I can't. Function." He's convincingly prima-donna about it, which throws the first guy off. I don't know if they were just putting on for the clip or if the dude was just being ornery and really did piss Pete off, but... It cuts to Mr. Loeffler sitting on a bench with a headset and microphone, and he loudly whines into it: So why then, has all my life made no... sound? And it just makes me tingle because the nakedness of his voice -JUST HIM IN A SOUND ROOM- makes it sound like he's in the room with me, forging this piece.
...Except that Sean's sitting behind me, breathing loudly as he air-drums and sings along with Type-O-Negative. He has headphones on. He sounds just like Peter Steele, oddly enough. So it's really funny and cute. But DISTRACTING MEH.
