Some Teresa Teng Songs
These were on the KTV DVD I bought a while back. The DVD had 48 songs (which is probably because it's a pirate, but Teresa Teng wasn't going to benefit from the purchase anyways), many of which I've uploaded before as part of a compilation. One of the others will be on a CD I'm getting soon, and I'll upload it then. (That one is Hokkien, of course, and it's the only Hokkien song on the DVD.)
The MV for "独上西楼" starts at 2:03:
"独上西楼" is based on a poem by Li Houzhu.
The second song I have to share is "路边的野花不要采." I don't think she's really warning someone about picking flowers, though, LOL!
I wrote a translation, but it's in a Word document and I haven't re-installed Word yet and there's another translation in the info for this Timi Zhuo version. There's also a version by Chi-Thai duo China Dolls, from their album "I Love an Astronaut," but you're listening at your own risk. (Did anyone else ever listen to their "单眼皮女生"/"Single Eyelid Girl" and have a hard time getting it out of your head?)
I couldn't find the video I have on YouTube, but I also like "香港之夜" for some reason. It's about being with someone you love in Hong Kong. (My version has boats at the beginning.)
