The Rules:
1. People who have been tagged must write the answers on their blog and replace any question they dislike with a new, original question.
2. Tag eight people. Don't refuse to do that. Don't tag who tagged you.
I am somewhat purposefully tagging people who have already been tagged, with the theory that, like the measles, once you've finished with them you are granted immunity (also, lazy).

goldy_dollar 1. What are 5 cool things you've done since January?
DJ'd and MC'd a St. Urho's day thing at the Finlandia Club, and made a kick-ass banner for said thing
Tweaked my webserver in a number of small ways, to keep it up more consistently and to make it easier to update.
Have started making
origami bunny rabbits instead of origami cranes
Went cross-country skiing for the first time in ages, did the 3.5km track.
Started trying Just Dance as a steady exercise thing, to replace the exercise I used to get as a university student, climbing stairs all the time.
2. How do you style your hair?
Lately, kind of bad, been using the hot-air blow dryer. Volumize, then tuck behind ears.
Am experimenting now with cool air and simple tousling.
3. What are you wearing now?
Furry hat, glasses, grey cardigan, black v-neck, floral print skirt (!, unusual), grey leggings, black socks.
4. What's your occupation?
Part-time everything. Piano teacher, volunteer DJ, pianist, master of
web type things, erstwhile software developer.
5. What do you hear right now?
Occasional brotherly videogame profanity, faint background music, someone vaccuuming.
6. What's your favourite guilty pleasure treat?
For breakfast: french toast at the Hoito. with sausages.
Otherwise: double-cheeseburger at McDonalds. such guilt, I do not experience at Calico's.
7. What is/was for dinner?
TBD. Yesterday was pizza friday, I had three slices of supreme (green pepper, mushrooms, pepperoni, italian sausage).
8. What did you do today?
Went hunting for a replacement power cord for a sound mixer, did some speculative shopping (i.e. did not actually buy anything due to brokenness) at the bookstore and pawn shop, currently procrastinating on website maintenance. Considering looking up the latest episodes of Stargate Universe.
9. Dog person or cat person?
Slightly more dog than cat, but I think I've a fairly even keel in this.
10. What is the best thing you've ever done?
Hands down, volunteering at the local radio station. Gaining access to so much new music, improving my verbal communication, getting out and doing things in a way that feels less like obligation.
11. What was the last thing that you bought?
A few beers at the Finn Bin last night.
12. If you could afford to go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Back to university for another degree - either music, or audio engineering, or possibly electrical engineering. The center option, interesting, as it's almost the happy medium. I think, also, that I'd go to university somewhere other than in Canada, perhaps Finland or somewhere else in Europe, or the States.
13. Where do you see yourself in five years?
Difficult to see. I'm currently at such a crossroads, trying to find that first real job. Hopefully, making and fixing things in some capacity.
14. Favourite book(s)?
Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke, Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, I, Robot by Isaac Asimov. People, solving problems by defining them.
15. What are you doing this weekend?
Rockin' the Finn Bin (actually last night), Born Ruffians on Sunday (so excited)!
16. If you could play any musical instrument, which one would you play?
Something more portable than piano - I've flirted with the guitar and the ukulele.
17. How are you?
I feel solid. I don't necessarily know where I'll end up in the next few months, but I think I'll keep finding things to do.
A little worried, that if I move out of town I'll have to sacrifice all the roots I've built at the radio station and the church and the Music Place, and unsure as to whether or not I'd be able to build that same sense of community in a place where I haven't grown up.
18. What are you doing tomorrow?
Church, day stuff, then Born Ruffians!
19. What are you looking forward to the most?
Spring weather and spring clothing (stolen from Saille).
