[She doesn't realize she's turned on the video on her end, but she's laying on her sofa, watching the screen and wiping away few stray tears. Occasionally, she takes a drag on her cigarette.]

[Ken doesn't realize it either and continues to work on, his fingers working to gently coax each stem into place.]

[She continues to watch, and her cat, jumps up to cuddle with Mara. As the cat watches, she reaches out with a paw to bat at the screen, letting her desire to play with the waving stems be known with a plaintive meow.]

Hush, Keres, it's just a video.

[The noise makes the dog off-screen bark, a white nose suddenly appearing to block out the whole screen.]

Bandit, what the hell are you yapping about now?

[Keres really doesn't like that and hissing and spitting, the cat lunges at the device, claws digging into Mara's arm as she jumps.]

Gods damn it, Keres, don't!

[Trying to stop the inevitable crash, Mara tries to grab the cat, but fails and the yowling animal knocks the device onto the floor with a crash.]

[Now the nose is gone, replaced by a close up of Ken, his brow furrowed.]

... Mara?

[The video shakes as Mara retrieves it from the floor, shooing the cat away so she can check and make sure it isn't broken. The view sways drunkenly as she speaks, still unaware that her video is broadcasting as well, showing glimpses of claw marks bleeding sluggishly on her arm.]

I'm sorry Ken, the cat... you were broadcasting and..

... crap. I didn't realize I was broadcasting.I just left it on in case I got a call for the police or something...

[He's still peering at the screen.]

You need to clean up your arm.

[The video tilts again and Mara's tired-looking face comes into view.]

Oh, it is on. I thought it was just the audio... [She looks down at her arm and stubs out her cigarette as she sets the device by the ashtray. She walks away as she speaks, trying to keep her tone light.]

Those were some beautiful flowers you were working with.

[He's set his own device down, this time allowing the camera to catch him and not the work table.]

[She comes back into view with a towel pressed against her arm, wiping the blood away before setting it aside and grabbing her cigarettes again.]

[He glances back over at the motion before his gaze goes back to the flowers.]

[She takes a drag and tilts her head a little.]

[He pauses for a moment to sort through the flowers again, his fingers plucking some amaranth from the pile.]

... yeah, but I wanted to come down and mess around a little. I think better when my hands are busy and I'm not in the mood to spar.

[She watches for a minute before speaking again.]

I'm not disturbing you am I?

[He shakes his head, murmuring a negative before he pauses again, his fingers stilling among the flowers already placed in the arrangement.]
