The Italian countryside is nice. I couldn't have asked to have a more humbling experience from a week without magic. Never have I felt so close to God ( Read more... )

I'm just pleased I could brighten your day with a reminder of the Lord!

It's nice to be reminded! Hogwarts isn't the most religious of places, so I miss being able to go to mass a lot during the school year.

Not to worry; I'll certainly try to make sure that the weekly trips to Hogsmeade for Sunday morning mass persist.

Hm... I wonder if a kind of bible study club would be welcome...

I'll certainly have to speak with a professor about making this happen! I know I'll already have a lot to do, what with prefecting and studying for N.E.W.T.s, but God is the most important business of all, as you said. If I couldn't make time for Him, I'd be unfit for anything else.

I'm sure you'd be able to find a professor, and it shouldn't be too much time taken up each week! No more than dueling or chess or the like. Anyway, it should really be an elective.

Ah, you're right on all accounts! Especially the elective bit... I'll never understand how so many people can live day to day without being reminded of God's love.

Maybe we can ask Dumbledore for something of the sort? I'm sure he wouldn't mind. It's just a matter of finding the right teacher.

I really wish we could do readings in other languages, I miss being able to read the Gospel in Hungarian.
