The Italian countryside is nice. I couldn't have asked to have a more humbling experience from a week without magic. Never have I felt so close to God.
I know using my journal counts as using magic technically, but I think I'm just about through. It's Friday night, and I'll need a bit of time to set affairs in order so that I can go back to school with all of my supplies and ready for a new year. I just pray London will be kind to me for the next day or so and stay dry; I won't be visiting the convent again, so I'll be without shelter for two more days til then. Magic can only mend so much when it comes to matters of weather, after all...
Oh, I did hear about the dance. I hope all of you have fun. I am not... able to attend, so please be sure to enjoy yourselves without me. Stay safe, and remember: God is always watching.

How I could forget that fact for even a second is beyond me... and for my sins, it seems I'll pay. I certainly can't attend the dance; he'll be there, naturally. Perhaps even looking for me. Sunday evening will bring about so much strangeness... No doubt he'll have tried to tell people; I'm sure the whole point of this was to see me squirm.
But I can't give in to anything. Temptation had me, but I'm a prefect now... I'll have to hold my head high and level. I have perhaps shamed God... but it is not the first time I have disappointed a father of mine. Most fortunately for me, He is so much more benevolent than anyone here on earth.
All I have done on this trip is pray anywhere and everywhere. I will not let these negative and sinful thoughts keep hold of me. I will repent.
