I hate you so much right now...
So...PISSED.
So I finally sat down and played Last Remnant, because I really need to just beat that damn game. I've put it off and put it off and put it off, so I smacked myself and said firmly, "Just do it!"
And now?
NOW IT IS UTTERLY FUCKING DETERMINED TO THWART ME AT EVERY TURN.
My weapons? I can't upgrade them because I need to advance the story so I have access to the towns or dungeons where the items I need are found. Alternatively, the ones I could I can't get because I need to beat a certain rare monster to obtain a rare item that allows certain monsters to drop the item I need. Problem? I downloaded the bonus content which put a boss monster on the field where the rare monster I need would spawn. And until I kill that boss, the rare won't spawn. And since it's a bonus boss, it is TOUGHER THAN FUCK.
So much for that.
Then after defeating one of the bases in the story, one of my strongest party members obtained a sword from the boss. It's a nice sword, strong, doles out a lot of damage. However, it is a two-handed sword, and my party member has only used a ONE-HANDED sword the ENTIRE GAME. So, this means that all of his combat attacks and arts, all of which I've leveled the fuck out of, ARE NO LONGER OF ANY USE BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL MEANT FOR A ONE-HANDED SWORD.
WHAT THE GHEY IS THAT? WHAT TWAT IN THE DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT SPAWNED THAT BACKWARDS IDEA? PLEASE LET ME GO PUNCH HIM IN HIS FUCKING FACE.
SO, now that I've effectively lost my means of upgrades and had one of my strongest characters handed a weapon that he's essentially at level 0 with, I figured I better go dungeon crawl. Again. Which, while I love, is defeating the purpose of actually trying to beat the game by advancing the story so I can help him learn some moves for it.
Which brings me to my next problem. Most of the dungeons I've been to are too weak for me now, and many don't have the tough, stat-advancing type of builds I need. So I revisited one that I knew I could probably get some use out of, and halfway through encountered a dragon, and thought, 'Oh cool, a rare! I love dragons!' So I charged it.
It's not a rare. It's a boss. A bonus boss. Which means, as I stated above for the other bonus boss, IT IS TOUGHER. THAN. FUCK.
WHYYYYYYYY????
It's so unfair!! I can't do anything like this!!
