*Is wedded to the sea* Now I can set sail and visit all the continents, trading in rare spices from the orient and fine silks from the arab empires. I'll make enough money to have a constant supply of oranges, so that I will never get scurvy. And I shall call my boat the S. S. PXR5! Muahaha! Jack of Shadows!
Yesterday was positively terrible, but today made up for it for being the best workday I've had in... well, ever. The customers were lovely, my boss didn't ignore me like he usually does, shelving was a pleasure, and I didn't even know it was Cultural Festival day until I heard the drums and singing outside. A chinese dragon parade marched through the entire library, weaving through the non fiction and scaring the old people in the large print section. A procession of musicians followed it and supplied the dragons with a tune to dance to.
As I was coming home from work on the 4:36 train I was treated to a beautiful view of the winter sunset, the train sped along the tracks and it grew even brighter. The sky was painted with streaks of orange and bright red, the clouds so darkly pink that they almost looked purple, ringed with outlines of gold.
I want to believe that today was good because yesterday was so bad, that it was the wheel of karma straightening itself out. I hope that it was. Of course, this leaves me all set up for the mext time the wheel comes crashing down. I'll enjoy this while I still can.
Timmy's MSN handles always amuse the hell out of me. I love 'lil Tim to death...
Oh... Moonsong. It is the best Cave Story song ever.
I'm up to thirteen pages on the Siren's Way prologue. This fic has a sue. That's right. a SUE. But not the kind of Sue you would ever expect...
wolfbaneshybrid, I was shelving in the 808 to 900 section this afternoon in the library and stumbled across a copy of 'On Writing', but Stephen King. OMG. I'm only about sixty pages into it, but I'm loving it already. Thanks for pointing out to me where I can find it (Because even a librarian can be dumb about books sometimes!).
