Just to say a HUGE Thank You to everyone who responded to me when I was in the dumps yesterday. Thank you...
Now...I haven't jumped off the roof or done anything drastic, but I learned some things from all of you, really.
I did want to share something about this morning....
I had left the book out, "What Would Buddha Do?" (whenever I feel like I'm lacking in the compassion department, I run back to buddha) :o) And I read some of it this morning, one of the questions in it is..."What would Buddha do about the BIG questions?" It says Buddha never addressed the "Big" questions, not because there are no answers, but because, would REALLY, Absolutely knowing make a difference? We're still here, in this world....still have bills to pay, dinner to fix, and on and on. Searching for the truth is definitely edifying (and sometimes makes me stymied) but yet, it matters most what you do, not what way you believe. I said it before, I'll say it again. I "say" I want everything laid out before me, that I don't want to doubt, you know - have one of those wham bam thank you mam faiths. And yet, I choose those that require, not so much belief as they do action. Oy!
