your body lies there motionless and dead,
i see it in your open eyes, the pain that pushed you over the edge and into this abyss
the lines in your face read like an open book of tragedy and loss,
never knowing where to turn you took the only way out.
now as i find you i will hold you close to me and cry for all the pain that i could not take away,
how i only wish that you could be here now just as we were yesterday, together.
now my hands have to be pried off in order to make me let go of you...
for now i will stay in this corner with the darkness as my company, and wait until the light comes through the window and i can remember the happy times we shared
