Click to viewWhen last I used to frequent LJ on a daily basis, this was 1 of the films I was very enamored with. It still hold sup today.
But, now, I view everything as a subtle tapping of some type of inner knowing by human beings, that plays out in the arts, and other media, that harkens to this reality being a simulation, and we're imprisoned within it.
There's many motifs in this film that hint into the memory wipe, and identity switch, of the reincarnation soul trap matrix.
These "ghosts" in some circles (especially gnostics) would probably refer to these "kami" as "Archons", or similarly to the "guests" in Westworld.
