First of all, I'd like to thank you guys for recommending this to me. I can totally see why you did and it was quite up my alley.

I must say that for the first 200 pages or so I wasn't sure I was going to like it. I thought it was an interesting concept, but it was the characters that bothered me. Let's review:

I found two novels on my shelf that I've never seen before. I mean, I must have seen them when I put them on the shelf, but I didn't notice them. I have no memory of buying or borrowing them. I took the day off to spend the day with my friend Phil. We wandered Main Street a bit, had veg wraps at Brewed Awakenings and spent time at Rainbow (used book and music store). I just finished re-reading My Idea of Fun by Will Self. My capsule review: Fight Club and American Psycho on holiday in London. After finishing-and I may not have finished it in 1993, as I totally didn't remember the ending-I headed over to wikipedia to read up on Self.
