I had half-price veggie burger and happy hour-priced wine at the Deer Park with my girls before poetry. The workshop went well, with Inno and I tag-teaming from our seperate notes. I read 'Richard Cory' by EA Robinson in my most obnoxious, air-slicing 'slam voice' which got many laughs and made my point, especially after I read it a second time in my usual deceptively plain yet sassy style. I was also able to demonstrate the way to use breath to project your voice vs yelling by doing it in one sentence. I was proud of that. We did well. I'm proud of us.
