or that I'm rereading The Hobbit and just got through the Gollum section, but I was just walking past a TV with CNN Headline News on, and upon seeing the caption Deadly Bat Attack I immediately thought it was the story of some spelunkers coming to a tragic end. You know, something worthy of the opening scene of Batman Begins*.

The true story is rather more horrifying.

*Bonus points to me for the comic book movie reference, with a nod to the nerds who care about such things.
