I'll be home for Christmas

I leave for home tomorrow. I have about 9 hours of traveling on a bus for a trip that takes 3 hours. Hooray! I loathe riding on the bus, but at least I won't have to take one on the way back. I absolutely cannot wait to be home. I haven't seen my family since April (actually, didn't see my little sisters) and that was because I went home for my granpappy's funeral. That wasn't even a complete day and my poor picked me up and drove me home. That's 12 hours of travel in one day. I was home for a weekend in February to celebrate my birthday. I figure that to be about 4 days out of the year that I have seen my family. I'll be home for a few days for Christmas. Dave and Russ come the 28th, crash at my place for the evening, then we start our little road trip and chill at Russ' home 'til the 6th, then back home and back to work! It should be fun times. I haven't seen Dave since he last came home (Dec-Jan of last/this year) and Russ since school. There's some formal dinner thing we are going to and I have to figure out what the heck I am going to wear.

A couple weeks ago, went to Jesse Orton's potluck supper. It was lots of fun to catch up with people and have some good food! Greg, I adore my Pirates "men." Hehe, they will have to do for now! Lots of funny stories were told from the "good ol' days" and lots of laughs were shared. We played some Apples to Apples for a bit, then a few of us played some card games. Good times, good times!

Beth and I exchanged our gifts yesterday. I got her the Dread Pirate edition of The Princess Bride and she got me some Spotlight Looney Toons cartoons! Last night, I made some snowflakes at the store to decorate. It's all sorts of pretty and they turned out really well. I love having students gone. Well, most of them are anywho. Tonight there is a game so it will probably be kind of busy. Blah! Why couldn't the game be away? Oh well, it's my last day until I go home! I think I can manage ;-). Plus, it will make the shift go by faster! That's always a BIG plus.

I may be getting a car at the beginning of the year. I'll probably lease to own. My co-worker says she likes the place she got hers and it seems affordable. Especially if I put a few thousand down. Something I will have to think about when I am home.

Well, thought I would do a brief update before I went home because I don't know when I will get the chance to get on the internet again (until I get back). Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and safe travels!
