Who's The One
So I went out with my friends today to celebrate her birthday and after dinner at TGIs she suggested clubbing and I was like:
"D=! Nuuuuhhh...I uh...have work tomorrow (no lie) so I can't stay out too late or my dad will kill me(also true) and also cause I have a project deadline(true again)" and she said:
"Liar. You just want to go home to watch drama."
It's kinda sad that what she said was true LOL. I do prefer drama over clubbing D= is it so weird of me? I don't like obsessive drinking or hooking up at bars/clubs like they do but that's not really my fault. >__> Oh well. And anyway I wasn't lying when I said I was busy, I seriously have to edit my OrgEditor entry by Sunday night and I have work all day tomorrow and Sunday so I basically have to do squish everything into the time I have in between work and sleep! D= !
Anyway...
Tian Xin plays a top plastic surgeon who helps a fat man (Leroy Young) win back his runaway bride. With killer exercise regiment, plastic surgery and unwavering determination, she transforms him into a gorgeous looking man.
This drama is pretty different from the ones I usually watch. Why? Because for me it started off hella boring. No seriously, I found episode 1 tragically boring. I only continued it because I wanted to find out what the guy will be like after he turns gorgeous 8D LOL. But magically it started getting better from episode 2 onwards. Infact it stunned me to see such a unique and interesting plot after a few episodes. It's definitely one of those ones worth checking out because of its good story even if it does take some time to get into.
I find this drama highly amusing mainly because...
...it's one of those where it's clear that the guy likes the girl and the girl likes the guy but they just won't admit it so again, they are being stupid.
Though technically it's just the guy but whatever, he'll realize soon enough and if I'm guessing correctly from the preview, he'll finally realize it in the next episode (10) which should be up in the next few days huhuhu. 8D
Speaking honestly, I don't have much to say about this drama mainly because the plot is fairly straightforward, pretty easy to understand and I couldn't really find any superb or miserable points about it that I COULD mention. Unless you count the bitchy characters that nobody likes but then that's in every single drama and since I've already pointed it out in like 5 other drama reviews I figured I should give it a rest here. And they're not excessively bitchy in this drama either. Nono, they're pretty civil and normal and so you can't really hate them that much, unless you count Melvin for being such a horrible friend just cause the girl he had a crush on fancied another guy who happened to be his best mate (who also helped him TONNES in school) and Karen for saying those harsh words to Bryan but then she did it so he could move on so I guess it was unintentional mean-ness? XD
My rating: 8/10
WHAT IT HAS: Good, unique and interesting plot.
WHAT ITS LACKING: Slow boring start but essential for plot to grow.
