After another long session of about twelve hours or so cooped up in the safety of her favorite haven better known as the library, Hermione had gotten tired and figured sleeping was the next bullet in her agenda. Hogwarts had spoiled her, she had become so accustomed to eating dinner right before bed. Most of the folk inside the black tower never really chose a specific time for dining. It reminded her of a fast food restaurant: service in and out.
The walk to the cafeteria was just as gloomy as the rest of the place. Hermione never looked forward to eating since she always ate alone. There was no Harry to mingle with and of course, no Ron to sit beside. She was feeling homesick and the fact that she missed her newly acquired boyfriend back home was making her queasy. She was better than this, she had to be strong. There was no way she would ever confess any of this to Ronald, the guy wouldn't let her hear the end of it.
Jerry had noticed the young witch painted a shade of blue and had offered special requests for the girl, but she always picked the same thing: biscuits and a small bowl with jelly to smear on with a cup of freshly squeezed apple juice. Most of the chairs were occupied with men in long yellow-ish coats. Her research had led her to believe that those were finders. They eyed her curiously and, because she had enough of men staring at her for the day, she decided to take an unoccupied table. She was back to feeling lonely again. She made a mental note to bother Vergil about his dinner arrangements the next time they were in the library together.
