First, a follow-up on the recent posts I made about a predator in the kink community. I've discussed the situation with the LGBT Liaison Officer, and we agree that it needs to be discussed in the larger context of the Community Consultative Committee, which meets next on Sept. 8th. More will be said about the issue after that point, I imagine.

At about 10:00am this morning, Tippy's continuing deterioration was even more apparent. He kept resting, then got up and took a few steps, partially wobbling his hind legs, then laid down again to rest. He didn't want food or water. He didn't respond to much. Yesterday was a very, very sad day. Today we've been watching Tippy closely. He had a bit of a rough night, barfing from over-drinking water a few times. Diabetes makes one very, very thirsty, and it's having that effect on Tippy ( Read more... )

Ever since Cleo died in early September, Tippy has been very clingy, constantly looking for physical attention, following me around the house more than usual, etc. This has told me that he's been lonely and bored when I'm not there. Today has been an exceptionally sad day. My kitty Cleo seemed to take ill yesterday, which was apparent by sluggish movement, a huge change in her usual behaviour and drinking a little but not eating much. My biggest concern over the holidays was ensuring there was someone to take care of the kitties. Now that the schedule has been more solidly set, I can say with certainty when they needed care.
