It's been a helluva year in 2008, lemme tell ya.
In a single year, I've
- experienced tremendously stressful situations and extremely joyous ones.
- never spent so little time socializing or so much time in good company.
- never been Known or Trusted so deeply, and vice versa.
- had job stability, even in the face of global economic troubles, which feels miraculous.
- made
BENT into a better, safer party (and now workshops), which I feel proud to run.
- started making real progress on sorting out my place, though that progress is slow.
- dealt with the loss of my baby-girl kitty Cleo and his son Tippy's loneliness (pssst - don't tell him that he's getting a baby brother in the new year).
- made good progress in therapy.
- helped the friends who needed it.
- learned to be good company for myself.
- discovered the magic of Craigslist.
- strengthened my relationship with my mother, who is so irritated with my sister's controlling behaviour that I've become her "golden" child.
- made new friends and reinforced older friendships, including reconnecting on FB with some from my youth.
- continued paying off my debts and having no credit to keep it down.
- lost touch with my writing mojo but have started to find it again (phew!).
- started to have fun and frolic with women again after at least a year of not (yay!).
I'm sure there's more, but that's a good synopsis of the year for now.
Off to Stratford to be with my Love for my vacation.
Happy Holidays everyone!
