(no subject)
i am very excited.
because i went on google and found a bunch of amazing pictures and put them all in a folder on my desktop and am now using them as desktop photos, because i discovered the option where i can choose a folder of pictures and then have each one of them displayed for a minute at a time on my desktop (in random order). and so i have these gorgeous black and white picture slideshow against this deep mauve-purpleish background and it looks really classy, if i do say so myself. ah. achievement.
haha except i have to completely squish my browser window to one side of the screen so that i can watch it. but it's a small concession.
last night was probably the second-best concert i've ever attended. the last brigade show still held more emotion for me, but wax on radio was flawless, in the most beautiful way. when they began with "today i became a realist", it was so clear and simple and just something to fall into completely, which i think that i did, standing with jake's arms around me. i stifled an urge to cry and it's probably for the better because i wanted to concentrate on the show. the emotion they exerted was 5 times better than anything one can experience with a cd, but having listened to the cd so much beforehand, it just felt like something familiar and close, yet with so much added by having it come out of something phsyical.
you should all go to their next concert, whenever it is.
they are so far ahead of many things.
the felix culpa was excellent, too. the bassist was so awesome, he was moving his whole body back and forward with the beat and whipping his hair around and they weren't even very loud songs so it enhanced it a lot because it made you want to feel the beat that much, too.
i need to go write a 32-bar song on piano, and practice flute, and maybe pick up my bass (!) and maybe also eat something.
