Dang I think the coolest thing about Daytona so far has the be the 7:00 special on 95.7 The Hog, called Elwood's Blues Hour, which basically is a whole lot of rockin' music with the Blues Brother himself, Elwood. But yeah this weekend has been pretty good, went exploring with Alok and Schue and saw quite a bit of the city and the beach. It was really neat getting to touch the freakin' Atlantic Ocean! The beach area is really nice, a big long boardwalk with plenty of things going on, albeit not as nice as Belmont but I'm not complaining.
Well lately I've just been trying to keep busy, finding things to do can be a little of the difficult side, but it's nice having the freedom of the car to go driving and seeing the sites. The one thing I have yet to find is a thrift store! Where am I going to go to keep this collection of records on the rise.
But I have found there are some very interesting characters around campus and there's plenty of new faces to meet and get to know. Seems like quite a few of the people here play music, so there's no shortage of guys who want to jam and just play whatever. I'm still looking for some jazz groups and clubs around here but to no avail, it's just going to take time methinks. Like I said life is pretty good, and I'm just going to keep on truckin', I hope you guys are all doing well!
I heard the first performance was rockin' and that you guys did an awesome job for Mr. Sperling's last conducting gig. I'm really saddened by the fact that I'm not going to be able to see the show this year, unless I watch it on video, but I know you guys are going to do a spectacular job regardless of who is up there.
Feel free to drop me a line if anyone wants to talk. Take it easy gang
