These were from last Saturday in northern Minnesota. I don’t have time right now to try identifying them, but the other night I did look up the most unusual one I’d seen. Using a beautiful book sent to me by Nightdog, I was able to identify these little jewels as Blood-red Redcaps. Ominous as they look - even the stem is red! - they are inedible, ( Read more... )
