I was sitting for the dog on the left, who is Helper Dog to the Simple Dog on the right. This photo was taken at the home of Simple Dog on Thanksgiving; the two are friends and so Sidney the Helper Dog got to come to the gathering.

Wow, you are busy!! Those two dogs are adorable. Without looking at the comic strip, why is one Helper Dog?

Helper Dog is the smart dog, who is neurotic in ways that are related to being smart enough to be worried and melodramatic.

Simple Dog is, well ... simple. And neurotic in ways that are related to being not very bright. :-D

Seriously, go find the comic. You need this in your life.

EDIT: Let’s see if the link will work if I paste it into a comment:

It worked! OMG are those the same dogs? I laughed so hard I almost passed out. I remember that comic. Did the author have a nervous breakdown?

That's the problem with publishing online. People notice if you stop. Whereas, if it's books, you can go five years and few people ask what happened.

Yeah, I don’t really know what happened with Allie Brosh other than a prolonged bout with depression, which she wrote about but then I think she sort of vanished again. I hope she’s okay; I always loved her stuff.

The dogs in the pic are Daisy the Not Very Bright Greyhound and Sidney the Bright but Very Emo German Shepherd. All that melodrama stuff with Helper Dog? Sidney is kind of like that. :-D She is a very very sweet dog and I love her for the big marshmallow she is. And Daisy ... definitely learned at some point that she was MAGICAL and could MAKE FOOD sometimes.
