Plymouth Rockin' 2, Happy Sparrow 6
So I didn't mean for the Plymouth Rock hens to be a series, but they are now. I've got the third one in progress already. These are 10" x 8", fit a standard ready-made 11" x 14" or 13" x 15" frame, and are a lot of fun to create -- tedious stripes and all.
The Happy Sparrows were an accidental series, too, although they've become much more planned these days. I set up a buffet on a small table on my balcony: Seed in a small bowl, pitchers placed beside that, and I take photos when the birds come in to feast. This one took a lot of time, something like 8 hours, largely because of the complex process of getting that pitcher right. Floral designs on curved surfaces, wheeeee!
