I had so much trouble with cutting this down to 100 words, I was about to kill every grammar rule in the world. But I think it turned out okay!

Death of a Legend
She stood by Jack, watching the Black Pearl sink agonizingly into the bottomless sea.
She tried to see his eyes, but he stared through her, at the faraway horizon, the black sails, sinking tragically, inexorably, towards fate.
The water was so smooth, it seemed there were two ships, one falling into the endless blue, the other rising to meet it, until they vanished.
Jack turned to her, his eyes empty. Wearily, he put his arms around her, leaning his head against her shoulder.
“Elizabeth.”
His voice was broken with sorrow, brimming with love. The legend was dead, the man
survived.
