CW Boss: The Reality Is the Strike "Can Work in Our Favor"
Thanks to the success of America's Next Top Model and an upcoming slew of new reality programming including Crowned, Farmer Wants a Wife and another round of Pussycat Doll, The CW boss Dawn Ostroff says that while "a strike is not good for anybody," as the Big Four struggle to keep fresh scripted fare on the air, "I definitely think it can work in our favor."

"People will have the opportunity to check out our programming," Ostroff tells Variety. "And because we do have a lot of reality, we're going to have a lot of original programming on the air."

Among scripted series, Ostroff looks at Gossip Girl - picked up early for a full season, TV's top-rated new show among teens, and a show well-helped by DVR playback - and sees "a show gaining momentum. Wherever you go, people are talking about [it]."
Dear Dawn,

I don't have any allegiance to your network just because it's home to Show.  If you think that, I'm more likely NOT to watch just to prove you wrong.  Because I'm stubborn and irrational.

Sincerely,
Blacklid's Sekkrit Ninja Brain
