tired but happy
It is amazing how 24 hours can change your outlook on things. I am still perturbed with Ryan but today we filmed the intro peices and I had a blast. We started off feeding the penguins and then moved to the pachy house. We were going to film with the Rhinos but apparently Cheyenne and Mshindi had other things in mind. So we filmed with the hippos. We fed them some apples. I have never interacted with hippos before. Then we headed down to the giraffes. I have interacted with giraffes before but it is still lots of fun. We stayed with the giraffes for the longest. Then the best part of the day happened and the worst. We went to the Okapi barn and got to go in with the okapis and feed them some browse. How amazing! They have the softest fur you could imagine. The worst part of the whole thing thou was my camera decided to stop working when we were at the okapis so I got NO pictures. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!! We did get lots of video so hopefully I can find a way to get some stills off the video. After the okapis we went to the sea lions for kisses and waves. I've done that before too but it was still cool. Gidget, (the sea lion) kept wanting to give kisses even whin she wasn't supposed to.
So tomorrow Ryan and I have to edit all the footage. That should be a looooooooooooooong day. I don't think Ryan realizes how long and tedious editing is. He will find out though!!!
Ryan and I had a program today. It was a Rainforest program so I got to hold Azul the Blue and Gold Macaw during the program. Well the little shit bit me twice. Luckily not hard but she bit two holes in my shirt. On the way to the program we were talking and we atrted talking about accents and I told him that all weekend long I practiced saying on without my southern twang and he busted out laughing. What a freak! He is so fun to work with most of the time.
