Narcissa pulls out the hankie that she kept of Lucius's. She takes the necklace that he gave her off, and gently lays it on the bed. She takes the rose head that she dried from the dozen he'd sent her at the beginning of it all and placed it down as well. She reached for the box she kept all the letters that Lucius had written her and took them out. She read them one by one and then also put them on the bed. She stared at it all for a while and then folding the letters back up she put the Hanky out flat and put all these things she'd kept in to it. She wrapped it up and put the neat package in to the wooden box. After a few minutes she reached over and took the picture of them kissing as children out of it’s frame and put that in there as well. She closed the box and magic locked it. She picked up her journal and quickly wrote out her message.

It's over.

I've sent an owl to mother and father, and put a stop on all incoming owls to me from the family. I said it would be finished before the week was out...and now it is done. I am not part of the family any more.

I'm out.

Taking her journal and the box she walked down the stairs and out of the common room back up to her makeshift room in the Room of Requirement.
