I saw this silk on sale and thought it looked like an 18th century ikat. But in person, I'm not so sure. Thoughts? What else could I use it for?

I hate sleeves. I've spent all day trying to get this weird poof out, but it dosen't want to work.

In other news, madamekat  and I went to jomar on Saturday to look for some more of that purple velvet. Unfortunatly they were all out.  Yesterday I went to the Jomar in Norristown, and they didn't have it either.  So today I went to Joanns where I did find some ( Read more... )

Some times its hard being a moderate.  I have friends on both sides of the spectrum, and last night one wanted to go out and celebrate while the other wanted to pack for Canada.( Really, if you hate big gov. that much, Canada is not the place for you).
