bedbug update
So I spent my Saturday night doing the most thorough vacuuming of my life, because although I threw out my infested bedframe and put a cover on my mattress, I am still getting bites. I vacuumed basically everything I could, and threw out the pictures that were hanging above my bed (wooden frames), my wicker trash can, as well as two little stuffed toys that were sitting on top of my dresser. Sad times, but after a miniature freakout and a couple shots of Southern Comfort I am feeling kind of better. Monday I am going to take all my clothes out of my dresser/bedside table and wash them, and then spray the inside of the dressers with Raid, vacuum again, and then I will have done pretty much all I can do to get rid of them without the aid of an exterminator. Why, WHY does something so horrible exist?
In other news I worked overtime today so I get to leave early tomorrow. Also I was late because of the Vaisakhi festival out here - the bus routes got all screwed up and even though the signs said the 49 would be running up 49th Ave until 12:30, it certainly wasn't. I walked all the way to Knight, where it was coming after running up 41st from Cambie, to catch it. On the way, though, I got myself some free curry, naan, coffee, and a bottle of water, so it wasn't all bad. (:
