Walking to "Perdition"

Mar 24, 2009 17:52

First, here's a nice shot of Cherie and I at Bleeders & Readers:

---

Started work on my short for The Mammoth Book of Vampire Romance 2 yesterday, and so far I'm insanely pleased with it. Not much "romance" as it's traditionally defined, but plenty of vampires.

"Perdition"

Things accomplished in fiction: Introduced the framing character, James Priestly, who's a fictional construct, and the female lead, Mary-Katherine Honoroy Cummings (aka Kate Elder), who is not. Still to come: vampire-hunting Doc Holliday.
Things accomplished in real life: Blogged, got my old office furniture picked up by a nice craigslist lady, sent a whole bunch of career-related email, planned out my writing schedule for the rest of the year.

---

Lots of time-eating non-writing tasks seem to have piled up on me, so I'm going to leave it at that. More historical vampire-hunting updates as they occur.
