Holy wordcount, Batman. Today was productive on most every front. Work (of course), writing, gym, cleaned the kitchen, didn't pig out, and managed to be a good friend. And not to freak out too much about The Waiting. That could almost be a King book...The Waiting, a tale of obsession, lunacy and publishing.

New Words: 2,220
Total wordcount: 18,846
Mean Things: A knife fight, a chase, falling through a fairy ring into mud, lost in a bad part of the Fae kingdom
Darling: Um...I wrote 10 pages today. I can't remember my own name.
Embarrassing Fruedian typos: None.
Those wacky Victorians: Women are not fit to (choose one of the following): carry knives, fight with knives, climb over fences, chase suspects through gardens ("What's the matter, Danny? Never taken a shortcut before?"), take the lead when escaping Fairyland
Research topics: English countryside, which is ALREADY DONE because I drove through a whole load of it with
stacia_kane.
Authorial angst: Still waiting...still anxious...still a freak. Bookwise, it was boring so I started a fight, and it got fun again.
TV: Bones season 2.
Books: Soon I Will Be Invincible (Austin Grossman). I forgot to mention I'm also playing the audio of Neverwhere for the carpool book. So far I really like it. Now I just have to crack Stardust and I will have finished all of Neil G's adult works.
Stimulants: Green Dragon tea
Cats: They abandoned me for their food dish.
Real life: I'm pretty wiped out mentally right now. It was rough in a few external ways today. On a bright note, the gym torture has begun to pay off...I am developing, in the words of DCI Hunt, a nice rear bumper. I just wish the elliptical machine didn't so closely resemble those medieval torture gadgets I saw in London. All right, I'm off. Play nice.
