Housekeeping, Contact Information
Hi guys! Most of you should have found your way here :D EXCELLENT.
Now, I need to settle a couple of things, so just bear with me for this post. I will be doing housekeeping and explaining some of the more technical aspects of this RP. It will be "stickied" so you should be able to find it in the links bar (: This post will also serve as the first discussion area where you can raise questions about the format, and also get to say hi to the other players if you wish (: This is NOT the start of the RP, just in case you're panicking.
Issue 1: Membership
All of you must have BOTH your player LJ and your character LJ as members. Commenting in this community is reserved for members only - so this is very, very important in terms of participating in the RP.
Issue 2: Timeline
Given that this is a rather broad RP, comprising the elements of personal journaling, emailing as well as participating in the community discussions, there is the intention to carry out weekly updates to keep everyone informed. The question is WHEN to do the weekly updates and in what format.
Secondly, we all live in different time zones. There's no best way to accomodate everyone except to try to do the bigger activities closer to the weekend. Hence, what I currently suggest is this (according to the GST+8 timeline):
Saturday 12nn (Friday 8pm for GST-8 timeline): The RP/activity is launched with an event. Characters from now on are free to respond however they wish (there is no restriction on when you can post).
Thursday 10pm (Thursday 6am for GST-8 timeline): Anything that happened before this time will belong to this week's summary. I will begin drafting an update. Feel free, however, to continue responding to events.
Friday 4pm~10pm (Friday midnight~6am for GST-8 timeline): An out-of-character (I.E modly) post will be uploaded. This update will comprise of a summary of the journals that have been updated, the emails sent, as well as the event happenings itself. You may discuss/comment/question/critique in this post with your personal LJs.
This is still tentative, so feel free to discuss. I have the timezones of aorin107 , harmony283 and symbolism_egg , so are_late and brokenflavors please tell me yours as well so I have an idea of common timeslots.
Issue 3: Private Journaling
There are technically two ways to make an entry "private".
A) Put the bracket [private] in the title of your entry.
B) Disable commenting
Disabling commenting would be the safest way to ensure no one can post a comment on it. However, it is not a rule that you must use both methods. You may use any of the two, or both, for your character's LJ.
Issue 4: Emailing
You may and are encouraged to use your character's email to keep in contact with the other characters. For me, as Komui, there is the likelihood that I will be spamming Reever with, well, spam, for instance. Another example could be Link privately handing out forms for other characters to fill up. However, other characters wouldn't know that, even if it adds to the characterization. Hence, it is VERY important that if you send emails, you CC me.

I will not interfere in your messages. At the same time, you won't be required to cut and paste the logs - I will be doing that, so just leave that part to me and email to your heart's content (:
Issue 5: Communication
It is likely that the beginning of this RP is going to be quite tame, no near-death situation or anything of the like just yet. However, and especially if your character is going to be interacting with certain characters frequently, it is advised to keep in close communication with those players. This is so that for any significant action (injury, quarrels etc.) you're not left confused by the player's action.
For that reason, please try to check your LJ inbox regularly because as of the moment, that's the communication tool LJ equips us with. Alternatively, this is also the place where I'd like to ask for permission to get your personal email address if you're comfortable with giving it out. If you're not I will stick to LJ PM, no worries.

If you want to try catching me on MSN, please add onyee89@hotmail.com to your MSN (and please add a note so I know it's you adding me - I'm paranoid about email addresses I don't recognize). On school days I hardly go on MSN though, just so you know. I'll try to go there on weekends!
