Vampire and His Wolf

Chapter nine

I change into a wolf and follow the ever fading scent of Ryan’s. I charge through the castle, avoiding security as much as possible. I snarl and run into the throne room and come to a halt. Blood was splattered across the floor and everyone, vampires, wolves, and Jess were on the ground groaning in pain. I growl lowly and spot Soultear, the antidote attached to his belt as he raises his blade.

“You son of a bitch!” I scream, racing down and leaping at him. The warrior turns and stares in shock as I knock us both to the ground.

“Bam!” I knock the black blade away and punch the guy in the face. I spot Ryan struggling up and he stagger towards me. Soultear punches me in the gut and I gasp, giving him enough time to push me away from him.

Ryan races towards him and bites him in the side, grabbing the remedy as well. I change back into my wolf form and leap at Soultear’s throat, my fangs are coated red with blood as Soultear tries to get rid of me; I push away and watch him fall to the ground dead.

Ryan wanders to me and places his hand on my shoulder as we look at everyone else, watching the struggle to get up.

Ryan’s phone rings and he answers it as I tend to Migé and the others. He walks over to the group when we’re all checked over and changes.

“We’ve got to go, Villes on the edge of death.” I change immediately as soon as I hear Villes name, racing back to the Fonthill mansion.

As soon as we arrive I had a feeling of dread wash over me. We all run into the living area and see Raab and Frantz with both grave faces on. I take a loud step forwards and they both look up at me.

“We’re sorry Bam...” I shake my head and I feel Ryan squeeze my shoulder gently.

“You’re lying.”

“I wish I was Bam, I wish I was.” I shake my head and whisper no.

“Bam? Come on let’s get you upstairs.” I push Migé and everyone away from me and change into a wolf. Running away from the mansion, away from all my friends, from my Ville.

I had nothing left...
