when i was in high school i used to go to parties and get-togethers with a hand-held tape recorder, and go around recording whatever people had to say. this was mostly a way to help remember conversations that were...hard to remember. sometimes they recorded funny stuff, sometimes they recorded stupid stuff, sometimes they recorded really boring

I've known a few people who do that, or videotape the parties, etc.
And it bugs me. Parties, gatherings, and stuff like that should, IMO, shold be ephemeral.

Or maybe it's just me and my dislike of leaving behind evidence of my existance.
