Cherry blossoms are growing monotonous.

Today, Sanji and I went out shopping for supplies and took a look around the island. It's admittedly quite nice, although I'm not sure what the fuss is about the trees. They are...trees. And they're all the same color. I thought the beauty of nature was meant to be in its variety. Sanji wouldn't shut up about them, though. Apparently there are ( Read more... )

george, sanji has a secret crush on me, kittens

Seven thousand and one.

...Ilario is for George-san?

And you're going to shoehorn every one of them into the menu before we leave, I'm sure.

Yes. Did you think I was buying a kitten for myself?

Sure as hell gonna try, anyway!

...Yes. Actually. I didn't know it was for George-san.

I applaud your dedication, but I could have done without a detailed account of your past experimentation with yellow mustard as a key ingredient in cherry-glazed chicken.

Well, now you know.

...Yeah, Zeff gave me weird looks over that one for awhile. I was TWELVE, man.

But - WHY??

If it works, it works. I just didn't need to hear all about it for half an hour.

I explained this - I like her, and she likes kittens.

Of course you did. I'm sure my voice is like music to your ears~!

Yeah, but. That's kinda...I dunno. It's an extreme gift.

Leopard-chan wants to see you, by the way.

Not like that, caro mio.

Is it? Cats are independent and low-maintenance, and I'm going to buy the food for him. Besides, he'll help take care of the occasional insect and rodent problem. I think it was a good investment.

Why?

I didn't see you trying to change the subject. ...Often.

You realize we have a rather huge insect problem right now, yeah? Anyway. Cats also hang around for forever, and now every time George-san sees Ilario - which will be, you know, ALL THE TIME - she'll think of you.

No idea. He's just been pawing at the galley door since you left. Probably because you took his playmate.

It was futile.

There you go. Now we have cats to take care of it. And she also sees me "all the time", and that's never been a problem before.

Ah. I suppose it would be better if they got accustomed to their new surroundings together, so they feel more at home.

You've at least gotta be happy for the endless cherry pies you'll be getting in the immediate future.

I think the bugs are almost bigger than THEY are. And it's DIFFERENT - what about when she's hanging out with Usopp and has the kitten with her or something??

If you turn into a leopard, can you talk to them?

...That may have contributed slightly to me letting you ramble.

They'll grow. Yes, and he's wearing the clothes that we bought him? I fail to see the issue.

A bit. It's like the difference between Spanish and rudimentary Portugese.

Yeah, see? You'll be more than thankful for this island by the time we leave.

...Right, okay, not the best example. I dunno, it's just...not as big a deal as I'm making it, probably. Maybe Usopp would've liked to get her a kitten, though.

Really?? That's kind of awesome.

I am not ungrateful for it as it is. It's land.

I know. I didn't realize it wouldn't go over well. Perhaps I should have mentioned my intent beforehand...

It can be useful. For things like finding out the gender of a kitten, for example.

You could spend more time on land and go pick cherries for me.

Mm, that might've helped. But whatever, George-san likes him, yeah? And now we've got two kittens who are fucking cute as hell. That's all that matters.

...I would've noticed eventually. Probably.

Or, alternately, I could find a tree and take a nap under it.

...Sometimes you're a little hard to take seriously. But that's all right. It's cute.

Probably.
